SPECIALITIES
I have experience working with a variety of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, overwhelming emotions, self-harm, feelings of suicide, relationship conflict, parenting struggles, foster care and adoption, and adjusting to divorce, blended families and remarriage. My therapy styles include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Multi-genarational Therapy , Narrative Therapy, Systemic Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy and I counsel from a client centered and family systems perspective. I also have specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Other areas of my experience include marital intimacy, trauma, and LBGT related issues.
Individual Counseling
One on one counseling with individuals ages 16 and up. Counseling sessions utilize client centered techniques and collaborative to assist client in reaching desired change.
Couple
Counseling
Partners share in the process of working through presenting issues. This process involves utilizing Emotionally Focused Therapy techniques to explore attachment styles that trigger negative cycles.
Family
Counseling
Addresses the behaviors of all family members and the way these behaviors affect not only individual family members, but also relationships between family members and the family unit as a whole. A host of MFT (Marriage and Family Therapy Interventions) are utilized during this process.
